Research Interests

Asma Almutairi is a Research Project Engineer at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute in the Engineering Systems Group. Her research interests include Computer Vision, Sensors, Simulation, Automation, 2D/3D object detection, and tracking. She has actively contributed to various technical projects related to Mobilities and Autonomous Vehicles. Additionally, Asma has a successful background as a Full Stack Developer and was one of the founding members of the IT team at Jahez, a food delivery startup in Saudi Arabia. Her contributions were instrumental in the company’s growth, leading Jahez to become the first startup to join the Saudi Stock market and attain unicorn status.
