Research Interests/Areas of Expertise
Jamie Moore is a lead research technician in the Human Factors Division. She began her career as a crash investigator for the NASS team, a division of the US. Department of Transportation before coming to UMTRI in 1988 to join the crash investigation team. She spent her first 23 years as a lead Crash Investigator in the Biosciences Division. She performed in-depth crash investigations on more than 1,400 crashes for UMTRI. She was also involved in several projects including Wheelchair Crash Investigation, LATCH Vehicle Anchorage Usability Survey, Improved Child Belt Fit Study, Improved Seat Belt Fit Study for the Elderly and the Development and Validation of a New Pediatric Head Injury Assessment Tool. In 2012, Jamie moved to the Human Factors Group where she has been coordinating the Safety Pilot/ AACVTE research study where she operates the initial point of contact with participants and manages day to day work flow in the study. Jamie also works on multiple studies for other divisions at UMTRI when they need participant recruitment.
