Prabha Narayanaswamy joined UMTRI in 2013 as a Statistician in the Center for the Managements of Information for Safe and Sustainable Transportation (CMISST) group. She earned a Master's in Biostatistics from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor's in Biotechnology from India. She uses statistical packages to perform analyses on various datasets such as NASS-CDS, NASS-GES, NMVCCS, FARS, and state databases. She applies statistical models to driving data to understand the potential benefits of crash-avoidance technologies. Ms. Narayanaswamy is a consultant for the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning and provides statistical support and analysis of Michigan crash data that are used to develop effective enforcement and safety campaigns.
