UMTRI research examines effect of repealing Michigan's motorcycle helmet law

UMTRI research by assistant research scientist Carol Flannagan estimates that there would have been 26 fewer deaths and 49 fewer serious injuries in Michigan last year if all motorcycle riders would have worn helmets. Michigan's mandatory helmet law was repealed in 2012.
