Attend the U-M China Automotive Conference

Do you think you understand China's auto industry? Think again. The changes that are taking place in China's auto industry are complex and changing quickly. The University of Michigan is offering a conference that will help bring you up to date on a variety of important topics affecting the auto industry, as well as provide expert opinions about its future direction.

Join us on April 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. for "Inside China: Understanding China's Current and Future Automotive Industry" at the Michigan League (Hussey Room, second floor). The conference is sponsored by the U-M Center for Chinese Studies and the U-M Office for the Vice President of Research.

Researchers will present their latest findings on important aspects of the industry including:

  • Near-term buyer preferences
  • New labor developments
  • Manufacturing capabilities
  • R&D and intellectual property developments
  • Vehicle and road safety statistics
  • Trends in imports and exports

UMTRI speakers include Bruce Belzowski, Walter McManus, and Michael Sivak.
