Katherine Freund to speak at UMTRI

Katherine Freund, founder of the Independent Transportation Network® (ITN), and president and executive director of ITNAmerica® will speak on Friday, March 19 from 2-3 p.m. in UMTRI's McCormick conference room. The presentation is hosted by the Michigan Center for Advancing Safe Transportation throughout the Lifespan (M-CASTL).
Freund has a Master of Arts degree in public policy from the Edmund S. Muskie School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has served for ten years on the Transportation Research Board's Committee on the Safe Mobility of Seniors and has chaired TRB's Joint Subcommittee on Transportation Options for Seniors for five years.
Freund was named a National Transit Institute Fellow and served as a member of the Advisory Committee for the 2005 White House Conference on Aging.
