Inside Brazil: Understanding Brazil's current and future auto industry

Brazil, Russia, India, and China are expected to provide the bulk of automotive growth over the next few decades. Brazil in particular has a unique market made up of multifuel vehicles, including those that use ethanol, which has helped to support the country's energy security.
Learn more about Brazil's auto industry at a one-day conference to be held Wednesday, April 18, at the University of Michigan. Inside Brazil: Understanding Brazil's Current and Future Automotive Industry will take place from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. at the U-M Michigan League ballroom. The event is part of UMTRI's automotive research conference series.
Speakers will discuss Brazil's market drivers, the leading auto manufacturers and suppliers, government-industry relations, and labor issues. Confirmed speakers will represent Fiat Chrysler Latin America, Mahle SA, the College of Marketing and Communication in Sao Paulo, Sabo USA, Polk, and the University of Sao Paulo.
