Crash Dummy Positioning Procedures

Data from the extensive driver and passenger posture studies conducted over the past 15 years have been used to develop new, more accurate seating procedures for crash dummies. The new statistical models and accompanying procedures place crash dummies in the most likely postures and positions for drivers or passengers who are the same size as the crash dummies. Procedures have been developed for drivers and for passengers in fixed seats.
