Modifying Child ATD Pelvis Designs

<p>This project led to development of a modified pelvis for the Hybrid III 6YO ATD with more realistic pelvis bone geometry based on statistical modeling of pediatric medical scans. The pelvis was designed to work with an advanced gel abdomen under development by Ford Motor Company. Testing with prototype versions of the pelvis demonstrate improved sensitivity to lap belt location. Testing with production versions of the pelvis is being performed by the SAE DAPRR committee.</p>
