Jennifer S. Zakrajsek
Ms. Jennifer S. Zakrajsek is a senior research associate in UMTRIís Young Driver Behavior and Injury Prevention Group. Her primary areas of interest are driver behavior and other related problem behavior, such as at-risk drinking. Ms. Zakrajsek has joined UMTRI in 1999 and has worked on a variety of projects focusing on the prevention of at-risk drinking and alcohol-impaired driving among adolescents and young adults; parent involvement in monitoring the driving of newly licensed teen drivers; unsafe driving maneuvers contributing to crashes between trucks and passenger vehicles; and evaluation of state motor vehicle laws.
Ms. Zakrajsek has considerable experience in survey research, including the development, implementation, and analysis of written questionnaires and telephone surveys. She also has extensive experience working with data from state driver history and crash records, the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), and the General Estimates System (GES). She holds a B.S. in Movement Science from the University of Michigan, an M.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Arizona, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan.
