Charles Compton

Mr. Charles Compton co-manages UMTRI's Transportation Data Center (TDC) where projects involve the collection, computer file construction, documentation, and analysis of motor vehicle crash-related data. One area of special interest is the quality of crash data both at the state and national level. He consults and collaborates with industry, government, and academic researchers on data quality and use. Areas of investigation have included offset frontal collisions, restraint usage and injury severity, and the relationship between delta-v and injury. The TDC has over 30 years experience in crash-data analysis.
