Michael Kokkolaras

Michael Kokkolaras is an associate research scientist in UMTRI's Biosciences Group and in the department of Mechanical Engineering. He earned a Ph. D. in mechanical engineering from Rice University, and a degree in aerospace engineering from the Technical University of Munich.

Dr. Kokkolaras’ research interests focus on design optimization and numerical modeling. His work at UMTRI deals with optimization of belt fit for a range of occupants.
