Jingwen Hu

Jingwen Hu is an assistant research scientist in UMTRI's Biosciences Group. He earned a Ph. D. in biomedical engineering from Wayne State University and a M.S. and B. S. in automotive engineering from Tsinghua University.

Dr. Hu’s research interests focus on numerical modeling of human occupants, crash dummies, and vehicles under impact loading. His doctoral research involved simulations of vehicle rollovers to study neck injury mechanisms. He is also interested in human modeling for surgical applications.
