Blog: Road safety ambassadors in China

Posted 07/12/2011
UMTRI assistant research scientist Jingwen Hu and thirteen University of Michigan students began a four-week visit to China on July 9 as "road safety ambassadors."
The group is part of the Global Intercultural Experience for Undergraduates (GIEU) program at U-M. They arrived in Beijing on July 11 and will be staying with host families. The exchange will allow the U-M students to experience the Chinese transportation culture and will allow Chinese high-school and college students the opportunity to learn the best techniques for promoting seat-belt and child-safety-seat use.
