Shope, Bingham coauthor study on benefits of talks with teens in ER

Research professor and UMTRI associate director Jean Shope and research professor Ray Bingham, head of UMTRI's Young Driver Behavior and Injury Prevention Group, are coauthors on a study published August 4 in a theme issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. The study shows how a brief, motivational talk with teens in the emergency room reduced violence and alcohol misuse. Read the U-M news release.
