Ban on texting while driving begins in Michigan

A ban on texting while driving began July 1 in Michigan. The new ban makes it a primary offense to send, type, or read text messages or e-mails while driving. UMTRI research professor Paul Green told the Associated Press that social pressure will play a big role in changing driver behavior.
