Shedding Light on Animal-Vehicle Collisions
Animal-vehicle collisions have increased 110 percent in the United States during the last 18 years, according to a new UMTRI report by assistant research scientist John M. Sullivan. He examined daily and seasonal animal-vehicle crash trends and the interaction of vehicle speed and ambient light to find out what factors influence crash risk.
