Illumination & Visibility Testing Laboratory

The Illumination & Visibility Testing Laboratory is used for conducting photometric measurements and human visual performance experiments on various lighting and vision-related technologies.

The laboratory is approximately 75 feet long by 15 feet wide (23 m x 4.5 m), and has light-sealed doors and matte black interior surfaces, allowing work to be carried out in darkness. The laboratory is equipped with cameras, computers, and instrumentation for photometric and spectrophotometric measurements. A workshop for the design and construction of devices and equipment required for research is also attached to the laboratory.
