Child Passenger Safety

Several members of the UMTRI staff are recognized as leading experts on child passenger protection and best-practice issues. This expertise comes from years of experience in evaluating child restraint systems using dynamic testing with ATDs, and from research programs involving development of test procedures, evaluation of best practice recommendations, and development of child crash dummies and associated injury criteria.
