UMTRI researchers conducted a field test of the roll stability advisor and control (RA&C) system recently developed by Freightliner Corporation. The study evaluated the effectiveness of the system in normal commercial operations, comparing a baseline condition of driving behavior without the system with the system available to the driver in the cab.
