UMTRI provides detailed knowledge and research on emissions policies and standards. We analyze the impact that the government Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFÉ) standards have on the automotive industry. Researchers generate insights through econometric analyses and surveys that help define the market dynamics of the industry and forecast the impacts that any government incentives and changes in CAFÉ standards bring about.
