Dr. Paul Green is Senior Research Scientist in the Human Factors Division at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Industrial and Operations Engineering (and Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics). He has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Drexel University, 1972, Philadelphia, PA-where he grew up), and three degrees from The University of Michigan (M.S.E. - Industrial and Operations Engineering - 1974; M.A. - Psychology - 1979; joint Ph.D. - Industrial & Operations Engineering and Psychology - 1979).
Paul has been an engineering staff member at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and a safety and health engineer for Scovill. In addition to his current positions at Michigan, he has also held appointments in the Psychology and Mechanical Engineering Departments, as well as the School of Art (Industrial Design).
His research has concerned motor vehicle controls and displays, and person-computer interaction. Much of his current work relates to automotive navigation systems for cars of the future, research that makes extensive use of instrumented cars and a driving simulator. He is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the Ergonomics Society, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Association for Computing Machinery, the ITS- America Safety and Human Factors Committee, and other organizations.

Sean received a B.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in May 2005. Sean is currently working on a team with Nissan Motor Company, LTD, under the direction of Paul Green to develope a confidential product for use in the US market. Sean is also the current Driving Interface webmaster and network administrator.
The Nissan project is Sean's 2nd project at UMTRI. Previous to his position at UMTRI, Sean worked 6 seasons at the University Musical Society as the Assistant Information Systems Manager, and a Ticketing Services Representative.
Sean hopes to pursue a career that will hopefully lead him to the prestigious Imagineering department at the Walt Disney Company. Hong Jun Eoh (734) 763-6081
Dr. Hong Jun Eoh is Researcher and lecturer at
Seoul National University
of Korea and is a visiting scholar at UMTRI. Dr. Eoh is currently working
on SAVE-IT project with Dr. Paul Green and the Delphi Corp.
Dr. Hong Jun Eoh's major is human factors engineering specializing in multivariate
anaysis of human emotion and driver fatigue.

Serge is pursuing a B.S.E. in Industrial and Operations
Engineering at the University of Michigan. He is currently working on two
tasks for Delphi Corp. under the direction of Paul Green, one to develop
an algorithm estimating the visual demand of different driving situations,
the other to examine distraction in general driving.
Serge will graduate from the University of Michigan in the spring of 2006,
and intends on going to Germany to work or study mechanical engineering
shortly after. He plans on eventually becoming a patent attorney.

Lan is pursuing an M.S.E in Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan. Before coming to Ann Arbor, Lan attended the Hochiminh City University of Technology, Vietnam and graduated with a B.S degree in Chemical Engineering in 2003. She then worked as an assistant at IMTECH – a Vietnamese company specializing in transferring technology and trading chemical equipment. After graduating in 2006, Lan would like to pursue a successful career in Safety and Human Factors in Vietnam.

Xiaotian (Joe) is pursuing an B.S.E in Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan. Joe is currently working on a team with Nissan Motor Company, under the direction of Paul Green to develop a confidential product for use in the US market.
Joe worked several intern positions at GM China (Lean Manufacturing, Production Planning, Inventory Control), Volkswagen China (Logistic routing), and Intel China (Finance) for the summers between 2003-2005.
Joe hopes to pursue a career in the lean manufacturing, facility planning, and ergonomics fields.
