The 2007 Maryland accident file contains 100,943 records, the vehicle file contains 185,947 records, and the occupant file contains 244,679 records, and the nonmotorist file contains 4,073 records.

Variables 157 through 177 describe the vehicle according to a decode of its Vehicle Identification Number. This data was derived using the VINDICATOR program from the Highway Loss Data Institute.
