The 2007 Michigan census accident file contains 324,174 records, the vehicle file contains 541,899 records, and the occupant file contains 631,910 records.

The truck data variables (V200-V228) include information for every supplemental truck record when present. Variables 250 through 270 describe the vehicle according to a decode of its Vehicle Identification Number. This data was derived using the VINDICATOR program from the Highway Loss Data Institute.
